AceInfo is currently seeking several Sr. Network Engineer/Network Engineer to support our upcoming federal project, in Washington, DC.  

 

Program Overview: 

 

The Program enables the sharing of information across the organization’s components’ Partners and other Government Agencies to include shared internet, intranet, and extranet services. Program and Project Management, Enterprise Architecture and Engineering, Engineering Operational Support (Tier II and Tier III support level,) and the Enterprise Operations Center (Tier I support level). The Program and Project Management functional area is responsible for the performance of the program and project management support, program and project reporting activities, project artifact development, artifact organization and configuration management. The Engineering Operational Tier II-III Support functional area is responsible for the operations, maintenance, management, change request management, and break-fix of the network infrastructure. The Enterprise Operations Center functional area is responsible for the continuous (24 hours, 365 days a year) monitoring, analysis, restoration, troubleshooting, escalation, coordination, and reporting of operational information concerning infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • The Enterprise Architecture and Engineering functional area is responsible for architecting, designing, engineering, of the network infrastructure with a forward-looking approach, to ensure the Wide Area Network (WAN) evolves into a more resilient, innovative, secure, mature, scalable, and cost efficient network, integrating new technologies and services.
  • Architecting, planning, designing, engineering
  • Planning network capacity, measuring statistical trending, reporting network performance, and providing recommendations
  • Performing readiness reviews and validation testing on network changes and provides deployment recommendations prior to full deployment in the production network
  • Architecting, planning, designing, engineering of high-visibility
  • Responsible for the reviewing technical architecture from a Security, Accessibility, Data Integrity, and Availability points of view
  • Presenting an aggregate view of the overall architecture to high level management
  • Review or Produce a detailed technical design document to match the solution design specifications
  • Oversee custom development and quality assurance efforts for custom work
  • Providing technology evaluation and selection advice regarding the use of COTS, custom approaches, open source and cloud appropriateness
  • SME coordination

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science, Information Sciences, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE)
  • 10+ years overall networkdevelopment, architecture and engineering experience in WANs similar in size and complexity
  • Understanding of Cisco network devices, network fundamentals, LAN/WAN technologies, the ISO layer model, TCP/IP, Routing Switching, DNS/DHCP, VPN, and data communications systems and protocols.
  • JAVA/PERL expertise
