AceInfo is currently seeking a Tier II & III Project Manager to support our upcoming federal project, in Washington, DC.  

 

Program Overview: 

 

The Program enables the sharing of information across the organization’s components’ Partners and other Government Agencies to include shared internet, intranet, and extranet services. Program and Project Management, Enterprise Architecture and Engineering, Engineering Operational Support (Tier II and Tier III support level,) and the Enterprise Operations Center (Tier I support level). The Program and Project Management functional area is responsible for the performance of the program and project management support, program and project reporting activities, project artifact development, artifact organization and configuration management. The Engineering Operational Tier II-III Support functional area is responsible for the operations, maintenance, management, change request management, and break-fix of the network infrastructure. The Enterprise Operations Center functional area is responsible for the continuous (24 hours, 365 days a year) monitoring, analysis, restoration, troubleshooting, escalation, coordination, and reporting of operational information concerning infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • The Engineering Operations will be responsible for Tier II & Tier III services that can be categorized in the following major functional areas:
  • Configuration Management: automated configuration changes in real time
  • Performance Management: Observance of Service Level Agreements (SLAs)/Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and support to capacity planning with network data
  • Documentation and Reporting: as needed for Tiers II & III, escalation and reporting
  • The Engineering Operational Tier II-III Support functional area is responsible for the operations, maintenance, management, change request management, and break-fix of the network infrastructure. Tier II support model is 24x365 (24 hours, 365 days a year) and Tier III support model is normal business hours, with after-hours on-call support.   • Operating and maintaining the entire wide area network, continuously adhering to the approved architectural and engineering design strategy and better-than-expected performance metrics for the production network infrastructure via tiered support activities for efficient operation and maintenance.
  • Managing a Tier II model of 24x365 support
  • Managing a Tier III model of 8x5x40 hours support, with after hours on-call support.
  • Maintaining close coordination with the Enterprise Operations Center, and the Program and Project management functional areas, to ensure the production network infrastructure continues to operate at a high availability level.
  • Performing all approved network or infrastructure changes and engages in troubleshooting escalations in support of the Network Operations Center (NOC) and its mission.

Qualifications

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT related field
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • 3+ years OneNet WAN project program management experiednce
  • ITIL certification highly desireable

Network Environment Requirements:

 

Qualifying candidate must have technical experience in large Wide Area Networks similar in size, complexity, and scope to the contract Wide Area Networks:

  • Wide Area Networks with more than 500 sites throughout the continental US, OCONUS and international locations.
  • Wide Area Networks which transport voice, data, video; Wide Area Networks that have:
    • Planned transition to newer architectures including use of software define networks, cloud services, advanced monitoring, etc.
    • Managed several web-based applications, used by at least 50K customers.
    • Managed more than 5 enterprise-wide services being transported by the WAN, (which are being operated by other vendors and service providers).
    • Facilitated extranet connections to other entities (such as federal, state, local and tribal agencies, as well as non-governmental organizations and private industry).
  • Wide Area Networks which manage more than 50 critical applications, with very critical response times to address real-time technical issue.

 

Candidate shall have one or more of the following certifications (but not required):

 

  • Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC)
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
