AceInfo is seeking a Systems Administrator Lead/IT Field Operations Lead to support our upcoming federal project, in Chandler, AZ. This position work location is in Washington, DC. Candidate must have an active TS.

 

Position Description:

ITFO provides local infrastructure deployment services for IT service request (ITSR) projects for integrated end user desktop / laptop / handheld hardware and software as well as infrastructure upgrades and site relocations – all of which are directed via a SD ticket in situations that don’t meet the requirement for the HQ base deployment team.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to end‐user service requests for Tier II action, IAW the SOP for service tickets that will be provided by the Government at the TO award kick‐off meeting.
  • Assist users with developing ITSRs for new requirements (e.g. new hardware requirements, facility add‐ons, moves, additions and changes).
  • Assist users with developing non ‐ standard Change Requests (CRs) when they have a new IT product, process, or performance standard, or have a request to modify or retire an existing standard.
  • Ensure the operability of all desktops, printers, scanners, biometrics, and other peripherals. Test and deploy peripherals and desktops, and provide application support to the end user.
  • Provide VTC support and maintenance, by providing VTC skills to assist users on with VTC requests, as well as setting and maintaining VTC infrastructure.
  • Provide cabling support and run cabling on small cabling requirements as identified by the government PM.
  • Ensure that all ITSRs and service tickets are properly documented.
  • Provide timely on ‐ site (emphasis added) support to all designated “mission – essential” sites.
  • Provide remote support (emphasis added) to the maximum extent practicable for “non –mission essential” sites.
  • Identify, schedule, and utilize resources, as coordinated with the Government, to minimize or limit disruptions in the day ‐ to ‐ day performance under this TO. At no time can the unavailability of Contractor staff impede normal day‐to‐day operations.
  • Exercise flexibility to adjust staff and redistribute workload to fully meet evolving and changing requirements during day ‐ to ‐ day worldwide operations to include emergent requirements and emergency situations. LAN administrators may be required to support locations in other areas as needed by using remote administration tools or travel to the area.
  • When directed, pre ‐ deploy or pre – stage Contractor personnel to assist local Contractor or
  • Provide support in the wake of / after the emergency, event or incident.
  • Provide remote and / or on ‐ site support for ICE offices located in facilities world‐wide with
  • personnel that are fully capable of configuring switches to include but not limited to virtual LANs (VLANs), Open Support Path First (OSPF) protocol, IPv6, secure shell (SSH) and secure copy (SCP) protocols and tunnel configuration.
  • Provide IT support, including desktop support, Lexus / Nexus installs, workstation refresh as other programs purchase equipment, and wiping of old devices.
  • Ensure data deployment personnel have certifications that include cable and wireless LAN (WLAN) / wide area network (WAN) infrastructure design, installation, administration, security and troubleshooting.
  • Provide remote and / or on ‐ site support for ICE offices located in facilities world‐wide with personnel that are fully capable of configuring switches to include but not limited to virtual LANs (VLANs), Open Support Path First (OSPF) protocol, IPv6, secure shell (SSH) and secure copy (SCP) protocols and tunnel configuration.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related IT Field.

Minimum Requirement:

  • 10+ years in systems administration IT Field Operations.
  • 5+ year’s leadership experience in Systems Administration.
  • Experience supervising a team of 10 or more staff.
  • Experience providing remote service for multilayers systems.
  • Excellent communications, written and oral.
  • Ability to provide monitoring, multi-organizational troubleshooting and remediation management.
  • Expert experience with VLAN, LAN, WLAN and WAN.
  • Strong Experience installing, configuring and maintenance for file servers, print servers, and Storage Area Networks (SANs) and Network Attached Storage (NASs).

 

Proficient in 90% of following COTS software tools:

  • Windows Active Directory (AD) and Exchange (EX).
  • Microsoft osoft Windows Server 2008 and 2012.
  • Windows Server Update Services.
  • Microsoft Windows 7, 8 and 10.
  • Microsoft Office Suite to include Project and Vision.
  • Apple iPad and iPhone – current iOS
  • Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Cisco Systems AnyConnect Client.
  • CMAX (3270 software emulation utilizing IBM Host on Demand – developed within DHS).
  • Symantec NetBackup.
  • Anti‐virus tools, to include but not limited to:
  • McAfee Antivirus software (e.g. McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO)).
  • Win Magic SecureDoc.
  • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • BMC Remedy.
  • NAS / SAN journaling, archiving and storage.
