AceInfo is currently seeking a Security Engineering and IT Security  Engineer to support an upcoming federal project, in Springfielg, VA.


The IT Security Engineer shall be responsible for working with the government Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) on a variety of tasks, projects, and initiatives to satisfy requirements of information security policies and procedures as they relate to the systems. Candidates supporting this task must possess and maintain at least one certification listed in the Department of Defense Approved 8570 Baseline Certifications Level II.



  • Develop, review, maintain, and provide Security documents including but not limited to Security Plans, Privacy Threshold Analyses, Contingency Plans, Waivers, and Exceptions.
  • Conduct ongoing security assessments of systems’ security controls per NIST guidelines as directed by the government Information System Security Manager and/or security lead and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review user access requests to ensure privileges are commensurate with required duties and provide approval or rejection decision including justification for rejections.
  • Analyze monthly and Ad-Hoc Vulnerability Scan reports and track weaknesses in Plans of Action and Milestones as required.






Required Certifications:

One or more of Department of Defense Approved 8570 Baseline Certifications Level II


Security Clearance Requirement:

Ability to successfully pass a DHS Background Investigation
