AceInfo is seeking an IT Infrastructure Support Project Manager to support our upcoming federal project, in Springfield, VA. Candidate must have the ability to successfully pass a Federal Government Background Investigation. Candidate will oversee the LAN Support, Storage Management, Mainframe and General Server and Virtualization Support teams. The teams will operate in a 24x7x365 IT environment, providing incident and response management and response, Technical Support; storage management across three data centers with multiple cloud providers; support the passenger and cargo processing of two mainframes; and manage and maintain the Customer’s Linux servers, Windows servers, Active Directory, MS Exchange, and multiple AIX environments.


  • Leads multiple teams on large projects or significant segment of large complex projects, and oversees all aspects of projects.
  • Analyzes new and complex project related problems and creates innovative solutions involving finance, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools, and solution components.
  • Provides applications systems analysis and programming activities for a Government site, facility or multiple locations.
  • Prepares long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities and for necessary support resources.
  • Oversee, delegate and manage the teams responsible to provide support services of the following:
    • Manage system hardware and software releases, changes, moves, and installation to minimize disruption.
    • Monitor current network utilization and provide information to Customer for use in determining future capacity requirements.
    • Maintain security hardened baseline configurations and deploy security (patches), software maintenance (patches) and new software releases and supporting products infrastructure as directed by the system owner, DHS and CBP OIT policy, or the Cybersecurity Directorate.
    • Design, implement, configure, and maintain non-virtual and virtual storage solutions for the IT managed hosting environments.
    • Support service requests for the restoration of data from the backups as required as directed by the designated government lead.
    • Process, manage, and resolve all event, warning, alert, as well as alarm messages of the backup jobs and schedules.
    • Maintain and improve storage resource efficiency in accordance with approved thresholds.
    • Provide 24x7x365 integration support for all Mainframe components (including networking) and Customer IT supported applications interfaces, including but not limited to MQ/DataPower support products (commercial-off-the-shelf and proprietary), networking technology, and storage management.
    • Respond to incidents according to the government approved Incident Response Plan developed as part of the EOC Task.
    • Create and maintain an up-to-date mainframe knowledge base to include Mainframe Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), infrastructure logical and physical diagrams, system configuration baselines, implementation plans, back-out plans, system recovery plans, maintenance plans, system upgrades, off hours callout and escalation procedures, and a record of all system changes.
    • Manage and monitor the performance, utilization of the various server resources, support the analysis as well as correction of all end-user computing and network problems that may be associated with server processing.
    • Provide system administration and operational support for server infrastructure, hypervisor, and Operating Systems.



B.S. and M.S. Degrees required. Bachelor of Science (BS) can be substituted with an additional 4 years of related experience, and a Master of Science (M.S.) can be substituted with an additional 2 years of related experience.



  • 10+ years of IT Infrastructure Support with strong management experience.
  • Experience in an IT infrastructure Data Center environment.
  • Ability to lead multiple teams on large projects or significant segment of large complex
  • Strong ability to plan and led major technology assignments.
  • Ability to evaluate performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
  • Expert with experience across multiple projects including LAN, Mainframe, Storage Management and General Server and Virtualization support.
