AceInfo is seeking a Project Manager/Platform Services Support to support our upcoming federal project, in Springfield, VA. Seeking candidates with the ability to successfully pass a Federal Government Background Investigation.

The candidate will oversee and manage the Database Services, Enterprise Web Services, Transaction Messaging Services, Security Engineering and IT Security and Identity Credential Access Management (ICAM) Support teams. The teams will operate in a 24x7x365 IT environment. They will perform operational responsibility, to include the design, implement and support all areas and components of Database infrastructure, including Datacom/DB, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, and Informatica; provide engineering and operational support for Middleware technologies (e.g., XML, Web Services, MQ, DataPowers, and Service-Oriented Architecture), Web Services products (e.g.,WebLogic, WebSphere, Apache Web Server, Tivoli Access Manager and WebSEAL) and Enterprise Applications and Technical Projects based on customer requirements and mission needs while ensuring 24x7x365 O&M support for the Customer’s mission-critical systems relating to MQ/Middleware Operations and Web Services Operations. Will perform the research, installation, testing, evaluation and support of technical recommendations for new or emerging technologies for the business applications to include support for multiple geographically dispersed data centers or cloud service providers in either active/active or active/passive architecture. Will provide Alternate Information Systems Security Officer (AISSO) services in support of the Security Authorization and Continuous Monitoring processes. Will provide engineering (on-boarding and integration), operations (troubleshooting and patching) and management support services to manage and implement the Identity Credential and Access Management (ICAM) program and the associated services (currently the Oracle based suite).


  • Leads multiple teams on large projects or significant segment of large complex projects, and oversees all aspects of projects.
  • Analyzes new and complex project related problems and creates innovative solutions involving finance, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools, and solution components.
  • Provides applications systems analysis and programming activities for a Government site, facility or multiple locations.
  • Prepares long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities and for necessary support resources.
  • Oversee, delegate and manage the teams responsible to provide and perform the following:
    • Engineer, integrate, implement, and operate CBP OIT Database systems (Datacom/DB, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle) across the entire enterprise and with cloud service providers to support 24x7x365 availability.
    • Engineer, integrate, implement, and operate a virtualization strategy to include Database server consolidation, storage consolidation, and automation.
    • Engineer, implement and support custom coded and COTS-based system interfaces supporting the Middleware infrastructure. Expertise in Assembler Language, COBOL, C, C++, Perl, eSQL, SQL, Java, Unix Scripting (Bash & ksh), Java Script, Gateway Script, XLST, XML and XML Security Gateway appliances is required to troubleshoot technical issues and support custom coded software.
    • Engineer, monitor, and maintain all functionality, certifications and supported standards available from the Web Services products.
    • Design and support Web Services products on Oracle WebLogic Server, IBM WebSphere Application Server, and any other java container as directed by the designated government lead.
    • Serve as a technical expert on a wide range of data center, network and application technologies providing end-to-end (holistic) engineering support for the development and maintenance of the systems to include collaboration with data center infrastructure, network and application teams.
    • Research, install, test, evaluate and support of technical recommendations for new or emerging technologies for the business applications.
    • Develop, review, maintain, and provide Security documents including but not limited to Security Plans, Privacy Threshold Analyses, Contingency Plans, Waivers, and Exceptions.



B.S. and M.S. Degrees required. Bachelor of Science (BS) can be substituted with an additional 4 years of related experience, and a Master of Science (M.S.) can be substituted with an additional 2 years of related experience.



  • 10+ years of IT Infrastructure Support with strong management experience.
  • Experience in an IT infrastructure Data Center environment.
  • Ability to lead multiple teams on large projects or significant segment of large complex
  • Strong ability to plan and led major technology assignments.
  • Ability to evaluate performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
  • Expert with experience across multiple projects including Database Services, Enterprise Web Services, Transaction Messaging Services, Security Engineering and IT Security and Identity Credential Access Management (ICAM).
