AceInfo is currently seeking a Network Engineer to support our federal project, in Fort Collins, CO. Candidate must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust from the Federal Government.  


Project Overview: 

The Program  provides a full spectrum of innovative business and professional services for developing, maintaining and supporting enterprise-class business applications to federal and non-federal agencies.



The Network Engineer – Intermediate will support an enterprise wide environment.  Supporting this environment requires extensive technical product experience in network security controls including but not limited to, Firewalls, Routing, DNS, and Intrusion Prevention and Detection solutions. The Network Engineer will assist customers in interface testing, troubleshooting, and support as well as coordinate the resolution of technical issues with the customer, vendor, and staff. The Network Engineer will coordinate the delivery of highly responsive customer service, support, and demonstrate ability to manage to a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Troubleshoots complex, multi-vendor network service provider issues coordinating with the vendor and other stakeholders to identify root cause and solution and to document and communicate status across all levels of the organization.
  • Possesses and applies their knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments.
  • Evaluates network performance results and provides recommendations that positively affect change in support of the mission of the NMSS Enterprise Network Services teams.
  • Participates in all phases of risk management
  • Coordinates & schedules third party installation and maintenance of network hardware, software, and telecommunications services
  • Monitors and maintains network stability.
  • Communicates and coordinates network schedules and downtime to users.
  • Prepares and maintains network documentation
  • Manages the integration of vendor tasks, and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
  • May supervise others
  • On-Call duty rotation required.


Required Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in a Network Engineer role
  • Experienced in the troubleshooting of complex multi-vendor network service provider issues
  • Expert knowledge of logical network design including DMZs, WAN design and integration, and client connectivity solutions
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analysis, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of the following:
  • Cisco routers
  • Cisco Catalyst switches
  • Rate limiting
  • DNS
  • Firewalls
  • Quality of Service
  • Network routing architectures using protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP
  • Strong understanding of IPv4 (IPv6 desirable)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proven analytical / troubleshooting skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with ticketing tools such as Remedy or Service Now
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds


Preferred Experience:

All of the above plus the following:

  • Experience with Fortigate and Juniper Firewalls
  • Cisco IDS with ability to understand intrusion detection and analyze events generated by the IDS system
  • Security - Access Control List, Intrusion Detection Systems & Firewalls
  • Understand DNS with multiple starts of authority
  • RemedyForce Administration and Reporting
  • SolarWinds Network Monitoring
  • SolarWinds Network Monitoring Administration
  • Windows/Linux Administration
  • Experience with Splunk
  • Experience with Log servers
  • Governance and Risk Management exerience
  • Knowledge of SQL Server administration and/or reporting


***Ability to attain Federal Government Position of Trust***



  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Have or obtain ITIL Foundation certification within six months of start
  • CCNA or above
