AceInfo is currently seeking a Systems Admin III to support our upcoming federal project, in Washington, DC. Ability to obtain a Secret clearance or currently have an active secret clearance.






Candidate will provide on-site services and remote support for the enterprise systems, including configuration management, system maintenance, device and system repair, detail process documentation, and systems administration for all IT assets including software and hardware assets such servers, network devices, and peripheral equipment located at client site. Candidate will support all associated tasks as assigned including system monitoring and performance tuning of systems as well as providing support to the Helpdesk on complex issues. Candidate will  generate and maintain records of all operations and maintenance activity in client's Action/Task Tracking & Reporting System (ATTRS), which provides the centralized documentation of systems, maintenance actions, change control, operating analytic data, and reporting.  Input of ATTRS records and data is governed by standard operating practice and includes assigned tasks as well as incident reports.




  • Patch Management
    • Assist with ensuring that all operating systems software have the latest service packs (patches) implemented whenever there is a compelling reason to do so and when installation of all the service packs will not negatively impact the systems operation
    • Assist with QA testing, software deployment/upgrades and patch management, and hand-off to Enterprise Services.
    • Provide support for configuration baseline maintenance and deployment and refresh of standard laptop computers and peripherals.
  • Operations and Maintenance
    • assist with documenting all configuration changes made to operating systems in writing according to DHS System Life Cycle Configuration standards and procedures which will be provided after award.
    • support all identity management services, including: Active Directory forests, domain trusts, domain schemas, group policies, PIV Card Integration and associated identity management technologies.
    • provide database system administration for all database server platforms and associated SQL services utilizing Microsoft SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. 
    • support all virtualized services and servers utilizing technologies such as VMWare ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V.
    • support all storage and backup services across Windows servers, Distributed File Systems, and others such as Common Internet File System (CIFS), Network File System (NFS), and Virtual Machine File System (VMFS).
    • support all enterprise data storage devices such as Directed Attached Storage (DAS), Storage Area Networks (SAN), and Network Attached Storage (NAS).
    • create and modify scripts as required for administration and operational improvement support of Enterprise Services areas using batch files, Visual Basic Scripting (VBS), and PowerShell.
    • support network technologies for switching, routing, virtual private network (VPN) concentrators, firewalls, proxies, load balancers, intrusion detection devices, intrusion prevention devices, voice, and video, and services for data, voice, and video transport.
    • support for network access control management, including changes to firewall rule sets and authentication technologies.
    • support network administration technologies such as domain name services (DNS), dynamic host control protocols (DHCP), network time protocol (NTP); RADIUS; log servers; packet sensing; authentication, authorization. and accountability services (AAAS); IP address
    • space management (IPv4 and IPv6); routing protocols (BGP); virtual LAN segmentation management; and network address translation (NAT).





  • Master’s degree or higher and/or >15 years related IT experience
  • Leadership experience
  • 8 plus years of experience in the software management environment
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
  • Demonstrated IT security experience in the Federal arena
  • Understanding of methodologies for System Life Cycle management, including development and operations
  • Understanding of system security configuration controls for Microsoft, Cisco, Linux, Solaris, Oracle and Apple based technologies
  • Senior Database Administrator (DBA) in an IT/IS unit devoted primarily to maintaining existing databases
  • Proficiency in a database administration
  • Appropriate certifications (e.g. CCNP)
