AceInfo is currently seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to support our federal project in Washington, D.C. 



Project Overview:


Position Description:


This person will be a leader in System Administration, including the installation, planning and security of network systems, computer facilities and virtual environments. There is a focus on design, operation and maintenance, monitoring, administration, and troubleshooting. 


  • Demonstrates subject matter expertise in the areas of Windows Platform solutions with product specific knowledge of Microsoft Windows server 2008 and above, and related MS products.
  • Coordinates efforts both onsite and remotely and reports results to the PM and Engineering Chief, DHS OIG OCIO.
  • Ability to maintain and configure the following: servers and NAS/SAN storage; file and share access; print and document services; CISCO remote management; IPv4 and IPv6 addressing
  • Deploy and configure DHCP and DNS services
  • Creates and manages Active Directory users and computers, OUs, GPOs
  • Deploys and manages server images
  • Develops documentation as required and appropriate
  • SCCM- Create, test and deploy- patch management
  • Develops/maintains systems configurations and executes administration and operational duties on computer systems while maintaining data/information as required.
  • Installs, configures and maintains commercial off‐the‐shelf products. Regularly prepares activity and progress reports regarding support activities.
  • Acts as a Tier 3 level expert and a systems resource for all users.


  • Ability to work in a multi-functional, fast paced, high intensity team environment, work closely with our customer directly, and provide ad hoc advice/presentation support/attend meetings as needed with little or no notice
  • Experience with ITIL, CMMI, and MS Engineering processes and implementation.

  • Must be able to work with the team at DHS datacenters in collaboration with customer and other contractors involved in the project
  • Must be available to work weekends and after hours (rarely, but when needed)
  • Must be able to communicate well, frequently and clearly with the customer in every step of the design, configuration, installation, testing, operational support, etc.
  • Min 5 year experience deploying, configuring, administering and troubleshooting Windows-based server infrastructures
  • Experience with SCCN patch management.
  • Experience with VMWare virtualized infrastructures is a significant plus.

Preferred Experience: 

  • Prior experience contracting at Federal agencies and working directly with Federal customers and end users is preferred


Additional Requirement:

U.S. Citizen is required for the position. Candidate must possess a Secret clearance and successfully pass a Federal Background Investigation.
