AceInfo is currently seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to support our federal project, in Fort Collins, CO. Candidate must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust from the Federal Government.  

 

Project Overview: 

The Program  provides a full spectrum of innovative business and professional services for developing, maintaining and supporting enterprise-class business applications to federal and non-federal agencies.

 

Responsibilities

Will work closely with development, operations and security to provide services and tools to enable rapid and reliable configuration management, build, release and monitoring solutions for enterprise web applications.  Will be given autonomy to research, design, implement and launch new tools and services to enable our development teams to rapidly deploy new features while maintaining reliability of our operational environment.

Candidates must be able to

  • Effectively prioritize work and complete tasks on time
  • Assist with software and infrastructure management, inventory, installations, configurations and connectivity
  • Provide backup support for administering database and web servers
  • Evaluate and implement technologies that improve efficiency, performance and reliability
  • Understand and implement Git Flow practices, and build automation to assist and enforce the process.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, administer, upgrade and use server system hardware
  • Analyze requirements and determine best fit architecture
  • Design and build solutions that are generic, scalable and reusable
  • Collaborate with other engineers to develop deployment and maintenance strategies for existing and new services
  • Analyze and troubleshoot problems within DevOps tools.

Qualifications

Technical Requirements

  • Strong experience with SCM, CI and CD workflows and tools (SVN, Git, BitBucket, Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo, XLDeploy, Artifactory, Maven, Gradle)
  • Strong experience automating Agile SDLC workflows, including branching / merging, tags, pull requests, release management, and continuous integration builds with automated tests  
  • Experience with containerization tools like Docker, LXC
  • Experience with configuration management tools like SaltStack, Puppet, Chef Ansible
  • Strong Linux system administration experience
  • Strong scripting/development skills.  Python and shell scripting are preferred
  • Experience with Apache, Nginx, HAProxy as reverse proxies
  • Familiarity with deploying, configuring and troubleshooting JEE apps
  • Working knowledge of REST API's, web services, and JSON structure
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Nagios or similar
  • Experience with logging configuration and analysis.  Splunk experience is a plus

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience on a build/release team is ideal, as is prior automation experience
  • Experience managing and configuring JBOSS, Wildfly or Tomcat web containers
  • Experience with Oracle DB, JBoss Fuse, BPM frameworks
  • Experience with administering Solaris, Red Hat Linux, and Windows platforms
  • Experience with Bamboo, Bitbucket, JIRA and other Atlassian tools
  • Experience with IDE's, such as IntelliJ, Eclipse or similar
  • NoSQL experience (MongoDB, Hadoop, etc…)
  • Experience with cloud based services (AWS, Azure, etc...)
  • Knowledge of one or more JVM programming languages (Java, Groovy, etc…)

 

Educational Requirements - Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
