Position Description: 

AceInfo is currently seeking a Network Engineer to support our federal project in Washington, D.C. Must have experience with the installation, monitoring, and managing of Cisco devices. This includes detailed planning, maintenance and operations of network systems, computer facilities and virtual environments. Focus on design, operations/maintenance, monitoring, account administration, and troubleshooting.


  • Demonstrates subject matter expertise in the areas of networking including routing, switching, firewalls, network access control, VoIP, WAN optimization, and wireless technologies
  • Monitor and maintain the network infrastructure
  • Perform IOS upgrades on Cisco devices
  • Develop documentation as required
  • Cable management
  • Provide and engineer solutions that will improve the network’s integrity and availability
  • Develop network diagrams using Microsoft Visio
  • Troubleshoot Tier 2 and Tier 3 network issues
  • Acts as a Tier 3 level expert and a systems resource for all users
  • Develop documentation as required and appropriate


  • Must be able to work in a multi-functional, fast paced, high intensity team environment, work closely with our customer, and provide ad hoc advice/presentation support/attend meetings as needed with little or no notice
  • Must be able to work with the team at the agency's datacenters in collaboration with the customer and other contractors involved in the project
  • Must be available to work weekends and after hours (when needed)
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, frequently and clearly with the customer in every step of the design, configuration, installation, testing, operational support, etc.
  • Min 5 years of experience maintaining and operating Active Directory Windows based networks. Monitoring, managing and controlling, deploying, configuring, administering and troubleshooting Windows-based server infrastructures
  • Experience with Solar winds network monitoring tools.
  • Prior experience contracting at Federal agencies and working directly with Federal customers and end users is preferred
  • Experience with VMware virtualized infrastructures is a significant plus.

U.S. Citizen is required for the position. Candidate must successfully pass a Federal Background Investigation.
