AceInfo is looking for a Systems Engineer Intern who desires to work in a DevoOps environment with enterprise scale operations.  You will work closely with development, operations and security of various projects to provide services and tools to enable rapid and reliable configuration management, build, release and monitoring solutions for enterprise web applications.       

 

 

Program Overview:

We provide a full spectrum of innovative business and professional services for developing, maintaining and supporting enterprise-class business applications to federal and non-federal agencies. Our goal is to be the number one choice for integrated enterprise applications, web services, custom desktop, mobile and geospatial applications, and security and compliance services. The project teams are responsible for developing and maintaining software related to government telecommunications.  In addition to development, the teams are responsible for providing useful metrics to various government agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively prioritize work and complete tasks on time
  • Assist with software inventory, installations, configurations and connectivity
  • Provide backup support for administering database and web servers
  • Evaluate and implement technologies that improve efficiency, performance and reliability
  • Analyze requirements and determine best fit architecture
  • Design and build solutions that are scalable and reusable
  • Collaborate with other engineers to develop deployment and maintenance strategies for existing and new services
  • Analyze, debug and troubleshoot problems within all application tiers 

Qualifications

The intern candidate will be interested in learning the following:

  • Containerization tools like Docker
  • Managing and configuring JBOSS, Wildfly or Tomcat web containers
  • Configuration management tools like SaltStack
  • Linux system administration and networking experience
  • Scripting/development skills.  Python, shell scripting are preferred  
  • Apache, Nginx, HAProxy as reverse proxies
  • Deploying, configuring and troubleshooting JEE apps
  • Understanding APIs and web services, REST and JSON
  • CI and CD workflows and tools (SVN, Git, Jenkins, Bamboo, Artifactory)  
  • Monitoring tools such as Zabbix
  • Logging configuration and analysis using Splunk

 

Educational Requirements

Candidate for Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
