    AceInfo is currently seeking a Application Developer I to support our federal project in Kearneysville, WV. 



    Project Overview:




    Position Description:


    The Developer will work as part of the COSS Platform Services (CSPS) team to implement and configure BMC Bladelogic Database Automation (BDA), Oracle Enterprise manager (OEM) and BladeLogic server automation (BSA) per customer requirements. The selected candidate will work with senior architects, database and system administrators, and developers on the PaaS Engineering team and customers throughout the agency and Federal Government to design, build, operate, and support the agency's Cloud computing Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions. Work will include the Engineering of and providing lifecycle support to PaaS platform models that include SQL Server and Oracle database offerings. The Developer will participate in the architectural design, implementation, administration and process definitions associated with the management of the BDA/BSA/OEM applications.



    • BMC BSA/BDA and OEM engineering work to include updating structure, enterprise admin logic to support all servers, troubleshooting errors, implementing compliance updates, server provisioning and cloud integration
    • Create and provide PaaS server image support via bash/shell scripting
    • Cloud integration tasking to include Python scripting
    • Update backend BSA architecture for supporting 2200+ servers
    • Provide engineering support in the development of DISA STIG compliant platform models.
    • Develop, validate, coordinate, lead and execute complex maintenance, in support of critical business systems, including 24X7 mission-critical production environments.
    • Work effectively with PaaS Engineering and other team members to troubleshoot and promptly identify and address issues.
    • Work with PCS and technical staff to develop and update standard documentation, including underlying processes and procedures.
    • Provide technical input for policies and procedures, and maintain accurate documentation on those policies/procedures.
    • Research, test, and coordinate PaaS Engineering software patches/upgrades.
    • Implement and configure BMC BDA/BSA per requirements as directed.
    • Troubleshoot and correct BMC BDA/BSA issues.
    • Adhere to Change/Configuration Management procedures and policies.



    Required Education


    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering, or related degree program.  Associate’s degree may be accepted if sufficient professional experience and/or current IT certification with sufficient technical experience is demonstrated to substitute for formal education.

    • Strong customer service and consultation skills
    • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact well with diverse personalities and working styles.
    • Security+ Certification will be required. Must either possess the certification or be able to obtain the certification within 6 months of hire date.


    Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


    • Experience with server hardening and security implementation strategies (STIG)
    • BMC BDA or OEM experience
    • SAP Business Objects experience
    • SQL Server 2008/2012 experience
    • Oracle 11G and Oracle 12 experience
    • Knowledge of PaaS concepts
    • Ability to script in Perl, Bash, and Powershell
    • Understanding of XML
