 AceInfo is currently seeking a Sr .Net Developer to support our federal project, in Reston, VA with some travel to client site in Washington, DC.



As a Senior Enterprise.Net Application Developer, you will help lead and conduct the maintenance and development of mission critical applications used every day to conduct government business. Our work is carried out in an Agile environment using the software industry’s most current tools and best practices that apply to our work.


Work / life balance is the norm, and we’re based in a great part of the country.  In a Senior role, you will work closely with the other Engineers, Architects, BAs, and QA to assist in investigation, design and planning, as well as provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers. You have both breadth and depth of .NET knowledge and experience applying that knowledge in writing quality code to build enterprise web applications, combined with a strong ability to synthesize, communicate and whiteboard with ease about these topics.  You recognize from experience not only where elegant patterns can be introduced in code and optimizations can be made within the application, but understand and can communicate why, and help lead the implementation of such designs by example.  



  • Work with business analysts and business owners to collect user requirements
  • Communicate clearly in oral and written exchanges with the development team, program manager, and customers.
  • Understand and practice agile software development methodologies.
  • Use Visual Studio and MSSQL Server to maintain and develop modular, world class application solutions to meet user requirements.
  • Incorporate best practices implementing backend code using technologies such as C#, T-SQL, ASP.Net, and .NET Entity Framework to produce performant and accurate software.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues by analyzing code, reviewing supporting technical documentation and conducting research.
  • Participate in peer reviews.



Required excellent knowledge and skills

  • Proficient using C# in ASP.NET web application development
  • Experience with SQL Server Databases including database design, data analysis, and writing queries
  • Experience implementing the .NET Entity Framework in ASP.NET
  • Experience with version control systems (Subversion, Perforce, Git, Clear Case, etc)
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, Ajax, HTML, and CSS
  • Soft skills include:
    • Ability to analyze someone else’s code and assume ownership
    • Discipline to document your own code
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks with varying priorities
    • Ability to communicate ideas in a variety of formats


Additional helpful knowledge

  • Attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Financial Reporting, Budget Creation, and Budget Execution
  • Familiarity with IIS
  • T-SQL, SQL Query optimization, Views and Stored Procedure Creation
  • Expertise with LINQ
  • C# code performance optimization
  • Experience modernizing/updating software and refactoring existing code
