AceInfo is currently seeking a Business Analyst to support our federal project, in Fort Collins, CO. Candidate must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust from the Federal Government.  

 

Project Overview: 

The Program  provides a full spectrum of innovative business and professional services for developing, maintaining and supporting enterprise-class business applications to federal and non-federal agencies.

 

Responsibilities

This resource will: Create and maintain the product backlog for Security and DevOps including epics and stories; Lead planning sessions with product owners and team leads to convert requirements into epics and stories; Compose and elaborate user stories for upcoming implementation sprints making them ready for team analysis and commitment; Coordinate with Security, DevOps and Quality Assurance (QA) engineers to ensure user stories have accurate and specific acceptance criteria that can be used to produce detailed functional test plans; Capture ongoing changes to the user stories as they are being analyzed, designed and implemented during the sprints; Develop an in-depth understanding of customer requirements to create flow diagrams of business processes to support testable deliverables.

 

  • Lead and execute efforts to produce documentation related to L3 support services. These may include technical requirements, data flow diagrams, flow charts, user stories, and metrics gathering and support playbooks.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of customer requirements to create complex flow diagrams of business processes related to application support.
  • Analyze support processes and their effectiveness.
  • Work with product owner on capturing all incoming requirements and changes in a form of user stories.
  • Work closely with product owners and managers to convert business use cases into agile epics, stories and actionable tasks.
  • Coordinate with client and ensure user stories have accurate and specific acceptance criteria.
  • Manage and keep product backlog up-to-date and ensure stories and task are complete prior to sprint planning.
  • Capture ongoing changes to the user stories as they are being analyzed, designed and implemented during the sprints.
  • Assist product owner with the users stories prioritization.
  • As user stories are implemented, capture new or changed functionality in a form of functional requirements with the goal of maintaining the definitive functional description documents for the system consistent with deployed software.

 

 

Qualifications

    • 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst.
    • Working on agile software development projects and agile SDLC.
    • Working with BPM (Business Process Management) tools; Appian experience a plus.
    • Working on, coordinating and communicating on cross-team initiatives
    • Proficient in JIRA.

    Experience Preferred

    • Working on an agile development team; Scrum preferred.
    • General understanding of Operations and Support culture and tools.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Familiar with information technology architecture, governance and data exchange.
    • Effectively prioritize work, troubleshoot issues, communicate effectively and complete tasks on time.
    • Proficient with managing and updating project documentation.  Confluence experience is a plus.  
    • Proficient with presentation and web communication tools.
    • Ability to communicate complex technical problems to a non-technical audience.
    • Self-starter with strong self-management skills.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
    • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
    • Customer service oriented.
    • Passion and drive for learning new technologies and practices.
