    AceInfo is currently seeking a Engineering Intern to support our federal project, in Kearneysville, WV.

This is a hands-on technical, on-the-job training position for candidates enrolled in Associate or Bachelor Degree programs.



    Part-time: Typically 20-29 hours per week. Work days/hours can be flexible (within M-F normal business hours) to accommodate your academic schedule.







    Typical work assignments include, but are not limited to:

    • Work with Senior Network Engineers, developing, planning and implementing new and upgraded solutions to support the Coast Guard Mission for Networking, Backup and Storage.
    • Help diagnose and resolve common connectivity and network service issues
    • Learn to install, configure, and manage network equipment (routers, switches, Load Balancers, etc.)
    • Work with DHCP system administration (assignment and coordination of network addresses)
    • Work with DNS system administration (assignment and coordination of registered hostnames)
    • Proficiency in OSI Layer 1-7 environments
    • Learn to Implement Firewall Policies




    Required Education:

    • Currently enrolled in an accredited Computer Science, IT Engineering or related degree program. Will consider recent graduates.
    • Security + Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of start date

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Ability to work well in a team environment, promote customer service and handle complex technical issues
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft office products
    • Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux OS
    • Must be flexible, intuitive and self-motivated
    • US Citizenship and ability to obtain a NACI background check required
    • Active security clearance highly desired

    U.S. Citizen is required for the position. Candidate must successfully pass a Federal Background Investigation.
