    AceInfo is currently seeking a PMO Lead to support our federal project, in Fort Collins, CO. Candidate must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust from the Federal Government.  


     


    As the head of the PMO, you will play an integral role in establishing, developing and leading the project/program management office (PMO) for the EAS division of the USDA. The PMO is a ‘Center of Excellence’ that helps achieve better quality, consistency and oversight of projects across the enterprise by developing and maintaining project management methodologies, standards and tools.


     


     


     

    Responsibilities


    • Lead efforts to standardize the organization’s approach to the full life cycle of projects, both Agile, Waterfall, hybrid, and O&M

    • Contribute to creating, maintaining, and continually improving PMO processes, website, tools and methodologies



    • Compile metrics relating to department service levels and IT project success, project attributes, and individual productivity and adherence to defined processes

    • Continuously incorporate lessons learned to advocate and support ongoing project management improvement practices

    • Facilitate cross-project resource planning

    • Assist Project/Program Managers and oversee their processes for the delivery of projects/programs on time, within scope and on budget

    • Assist Project/Program Managers in accordance with project schedules and PMO governance model

    • Assist in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules

    • Prepare and Deliver a PMO Handbook

    • Train Project/Program Managers on project best practices & techniques

    • Continuously improve the Quality Assurance Program to meet PMI, CMMI Level II & III, and ISO standards

    Qualifications


    • PMI PMP

    • Training and/certification in Lean Six Sigma or other quality standard

    • Comprehensive knowledge and applied understanding of project management principles including scheduling, change management, risk/issue management, and exposure to earned value management (EVM)

    • Comprehensive knowledge and applied understanding of software development methodologies

    • Outstanding presentation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels

    • Ability to work collaboratively with team members, often across different business areas, geographies and culture

    • Strategic Thinking: Ability to juggle multiple goals and deadlines in the context of the big picture

    • Good Writing Skills: Comfortable writing and documenting technical requirements, procedures, and related artifacts

    • Experience working within various project management methodologies, and demonstrated experience working in an environment with differing methodologies (i.e. agile and waterfall)

    • Bachelor’s degree in business management, technology/information management, engineering or related field
