    AceInfo is currently seeking a Network Engineer to support our federal project, in Washington, DC. Candidate must have an active secret clearance. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with a drive to excel, to work with leaders in the industry, learn new technologies, and be intimately involved in developing strategies and implementing them across a wide base users and systems.

     

     

    Program Overview:

    The Program supports the Federal Customer in maintaining integrity through audits and investigations. The Program is an independent network of information technology (IT) infrastructure owned and controlled by Federal Customer. Ace Info Solutions provides IT Engineering, and Service Desk support to the staff throughout DC and over 30 field offices around the country. 

     

     

    Position Description:

    • Network Engineer with experience including the support of installation, monitoring, managing Cisco devices. This includes detailed planning and maintenance and operations of network systems, computer facilities and virtual environments. Develops documentation as required and appropriate. Focus on design, operation and maintenance, monitoring, account administration, and troubleshooting.
    • Has Broad and Deep experience in nearly all areas of Network Engineering
    • Knowledge and experience with ITIL, CMMI, and MS Engineering processes and implementation a plus.
    • This position is a high visibility role.  

    Responsibilities

    • Demonstrates subject matter expertise in the areas of networking including routing, switching, firewalls, network access control, VoIP, WAN optimization, and wireless technologies
    • Monitor and maintain the network infrastructure
    • Perform IOS upgrades on Cisco devices
    • Cable management
    • Provide and engineer solutions that will improve the network’s integrity and availability
    • Develop network diagrams using Microsoft Visio
    • Troubleshoot Tier 2 and Tier 3 network issues
    • Acts as a Tier 3 level expert and a systems resource for all users

    Qualifications

     

    • Expertise with CISCO network
    • Active Secret clearance is required 
    • This candidate must be able to work in a multi-functional, fast paced, high intensity team environment, work closely with our customer directly, provide ad hoc advice/presentation support/attend meetings as needed with little or no notice
    • Must be able to work with the team at the datacenters in collaboration with customer and other contractors involved in the project
    • Must be available to work weekends and after hours (when needed)
    • Must be able to communicate well, frequently and clearly with the customer in every step of the design, configuration, installation, testing, operational support, etc.
    • Min 5 years’ experience maintaining and operating Active Directory Windows based networks. Monitoring, managing and controlling, deploying, configuring, administering and troubleshooting Windows-based server infrastructures
    • Experience with Solar winds network monitoring tools.
    • Prior experience contracting at Federal agencies and working directly with Federal customers and end users is preferred
    • Experience with VMware virtualized infrastructures is a significant plus.

     

     

    The following certifications are desired, but not mandatory:

    CCNA or CCNP

    Security+, Network+
