    AceInfo is currently seeking a Deputy Operations Manager to support our federal project, in Bowie, MD.



    Project Overview:


    We are looking for a Deputy Operations Manager to assist in the planning, direction and coordination of the organization’s operations. You will be responsible for improving performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. You will focus on managing the Tier-1 and Enterprise Monitoring teams along with other direct reports.



    The Deputy Operations Manager will report directly to the Lead Operations Manager, this position's primary responsibility is ensuring organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices.




    • Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission.
    • Support better management reporting, communication management, business process and organizational planning.
    • Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the operations team, through improvements to coordination and communication between internal and external business areas.
    • Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
    • Contribute towards the achievement of company’s strategic and operational objectives.
    • Perform quality controls and monitor production SLA’s, Metrics, and KPI’s.




    Candidate must have the following knowledge, experience, and abilities:

    Required Technical Skills / Experience:


    Candidate must have the following knowledge, experience, and abilities:

    • Experience managing Microsoft & Linux systems on medium/large (2500+ systems) scale.
    • Experience using NOC tools such as SolarWinds, AppDynamics, VMware vRealize and/or Splunk.
    • Knowledge of NIST Information Security Guidelines and FISMA Compliance standards.
    • Experience automating or orchestrating the provisioning of new services.
    • Experience with Amazon Web Services GovCloud (AWS) (EC2, S3, Snaps, Cloudwatch, etc.).
    • Knowledge of Citrix VDI, Oracle RDBMS/RDS, Weblogic, Tomcat, IIS, etc..
    • Knowledge of configuration and deployment tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.).
    • Relevant knowledge of current and emerging technologies.
    • Experience supporting hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) and converged infrastructure (CI) systems.
    • Proficient in supporting recoverability and continuity of business operations.
    • Enterprise helpdesk/service desk experience.
