    AceInfo is currently seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to support our federal project in Reston, VA.

    Position Description:

     

    This person will be part of an Agile development team tasked to architect, design and implement AWS solutions as we transition into the AWS cloud platform of services. You will lead design efforts to ensure defined performance, security, usability, reliability and scalability requirements. This is an opportunity to be part of an Agile development team with a passion for innovation and the implementation of cutting-edge technologies.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Lead design efforts to ensure defined performance, security, usability, reliability and scalability requirements
    • Maintain a number of automation and orchestration technologies
    • Create and configure flexible solutions for other development, delivery, security, operations, and oversight teams, ensuring system uptime, security, and performance.
    • Provide developers with the best tools and ensure system uptime and performance.
    • Assess, deploy, and manage a number of infrastructure management tools including infrastructure optimization and orchestration solutions
    • Oversee the efforts of less senior staff, brief more senior individuals, federal and contractor, and/or be responsible for the efforts of staff assigned to specific jobs under their purview
    • The initial focus will be to design, build, and optimize cloud services, while considering the limitations imposed by practicality and compliance
    • Support the learning and cultural transformation by facilitating shared standards and participating in communities of practice as the organization matures and new capabilities are identified.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of technical professional experience
    • AWS Associate Level Certification required (Professional desired) or equivalent Azure certification
    • Minimum of 3 years of AWS experience and/or Azure experience
    • Minimum of 2 years of cloud security design, configuration and delivery experience
    • Experience working with Cloud Platforms (AWS IaaS and platform services, Azure IaaS and PaaS services)
    • Experience with programming and infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Formation, Azure Resource Templates)
    • Experience designing, developing, deploying, and testing in AWS architecture
    • Strong Experience of CICD tools (e.g. Jenkins, TravisCI)
    • Experience with container-based applications and tools (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
    • Experience working with configuration management tools (e.g Ansible, Chef)
    • Understanding of a programming/scripting language (e.g. PowerShell, Golang, Python, node.js)
    • Understanding of software development best practices (tests, version control)
    • Experience with GIT, SVN
    • Has performed cloud migration execution and support

     

    Soft Skills

    • Ability to attain Federal Government Position of Trust
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and writing skills
