    AceInfo is currently seeking a Database Administrator to support our federal project, in Fort Collins, CO. Candidate must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust from the Federal Government.  

     

    Project Overview: 

     

    The Program  provides a full spectrum of innovative business and professional services for developing, maintaining and supporting enterprise-class business applications to federal and non-federal agencies.

     

    Responsibilities

     

    We are looking for a database adminstrator who understands and embraces high performance DBMS implemenations with associated experience in building, monitoring and tuning. You will work closely with development, operations and security to deliver services to our government client, specifically highly efficient databases and supporting infrastructure. You will have autonomy to research and implement new tools and procedures that improve and maintain the reliability of our DBMS environments.   

       

    Candidates must be able to

    • Provide primary support for administering databases
    • Evaluate, implement, monitor and tune database technologies that improve efficiency, performance and reliability
    • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, administer, upgrade and use DBMS system hardware
    • Design and build DBMS solutions that are generic, scalable and reusable
    • Analyze requirements and determine best DBMS architecture
    • Collaborate with other engineers to develop deployment and maintenance strategies for existing and new DBMS services
    • Assist with software and infrastructure management, inventory, installations, configurations and connectivity

    Qualifications

    • Strong experience with DBMS performance analysis, tuning, data and object modeling, relational algebra, relational data models and applications programming
    • Strong Linux system administration experience
    • Strong experience with SCM, CI and CD workflows and tools (SVN, Git, BitBucket, Jenkins, Bamboo, ALM, XLDeploy, Artifactory, Maven)
    • Basic understanding of containerization tools like Docker, LXC
    • Basic understanding of configuration management tools like SaltStack, Puppet, Chef Ansible
    • Basic understanding of Apache, Nginx, HAProxy as reverse proxies
    • Basic understanding of API's and web services.  REST and JSON experience is preferred

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience with Oracle DB, Oracle Enterprise Manager, statistical collection, optimization
    • Experience with administering Solaris and Windows platforms
    • Experience with Bamboo, Bitbucket, JIRA and other Atlassian tools
    • Experience with cloud based services (AWS, Azure, etc.)

     

    Educational Requirements - Preferred

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
