    AceInfo is currently seeking a Software Engineer that specializes in AI/Machine Learning for a federal project in Reston, VA.

     

    Position Description:

     

    AceInfo is currently seeking a Software Engineer for Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence with 5 Years of total IT experience and 3 years of which should be ML/AI. The software engineer will build Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence proof of concepts and applications, will work with stakeholders to design applications based on deep understanding of AI and ML capabilities and use cases and will assist in white papers discussing best practice and approach to solving AI and Machine Learning problems. 

     

    Responsibilities

     

    • The primary responsibility of this position is contributing to the research and design of the machine learning systems which are the basis of software products.
    • Participate in the open-source machine learning community.
    • Use projects like TensorFlow & Keras for machine learning design
    • Use tools like Apache MXNet and/or Scikit Learn
    • Leverage Python/Java/Scala/C++/GO tools in developing AI and ML applications.
    • Leverage Amazon SageMaker to build, train and deploy machine learning models
    • This position will be responsible for researching new approaches for applying machine learning to a variety of problem domains, creating new ML systems and improving existing designs, and facilitating integration with deployable software products.
    • Important aspects of this role include conducting reproducible research, writing machine learning code and documentation, and collaborating with our software team to create great products. We encourage participation in the scientific community, and regularly author scientific publications and participate in technical conferences & workshops.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or advanced degree, preferably in statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or another discipline with a strong quantitative focus
    • Experience in software development and machine learning techniques are equally essential.
    • The ideal candidate is also experienced in data visualization libraries and machine learning interpretation techniques
    • Commitment to collaborative, reproducible research and continuous learning.
    • Understanding of machine learning algorithms and the predictive modeling process
    • Effective presentation and interaction skills in spoken and written English
    • Professional experience in object-oriented software design, RESTful APIs, microservices, databases, shell scripting
    • Professional experience in statistical programming, preferably using R and/or Python
    • Professional experience implementing supervised machine learning algorithms
    • Experience with Unix (Ubuntu,Linux, etc.)
    • Experience with source control (Git, SVN)
    • Experience with Cloud technology (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform)
    • Experience with Streaming Data Platforms like Apache Kafka or AWS Kinesis Data Streams
    • Experience with analytic notebook tools (Jupyter, Apache Zeppelin)
    • Experience with Resilient, Fault Tolerant, Scalable Enterprise Grade Systems.
    • Work with JSON, XML, XML Schema

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks with varying priorities

    Nice to Haves:

    • Familiarity with Big Data Solutions (AWS EMR, Cloudera, Hortonworks, Hadoop, YARN, Spark)
    • Familiarity with one or more container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
    • Distributed systems and large-scale data analytics frameworks (e.g., Spark MLib, H2O)
    • SQL and NoSQL databases
    • Experience configuring and managing the deployment of predictive models into production analytic environments throughout the SaaS life cycle
    • Experience in implementing entity resolution, fuzzy matching, and recommender systems
    • Experience with libraries: R data. Table, H2O, Sparkling Water, Pandas, Spark ML
    • Either AWS Certified BigData Architect

    Or

    • Either AWS SysOps or DevOps Engineer – Associate minimum and Professional certification is preferred

    Or

    • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals AZ-900, Microsoft Azure Infrastructure and Deployment AZ-100 (or AZ-1xx) or higher AZ-2xx, AZ-3xx, AZ-4xx or equivalent certification is preferred

     

    Additional Requirement:

    U.S. Citizen is required for the position. Must be able to obtain a Public Trust or have an Active Secret clearance.
