     AceInfo is currently seeking numerous Enterprise Architect to support our upcoming federal project, in Washington DC

     

     

    Project Overview:

     

    Enterprise Architect - Senior Level-Information Architect, will provide support for the information architectural work effort of the current and future enterprise asset lifecycle management project representing the Enterprise Asset Lifecycle Management practice. 

     

    Position Description:

     

    The work effort will consist of developing current and future state information flows and information architectural models based on business capabilities architecture and underlying business processes, future state solution design, short term remedial support solution strategy and ensure solution design/delivery aligned with industry standards and best practices.  Build business capability architecture and translate it into an effective information architecture, features, functionalities, etc.  Translate user behavior into structured elements, attributes, process workflows, user scenarios, storyboards. Coordinate business, technology, visual, structural, editorial, cognitive and enterprise strategies. Understand the different contexts and provide meaningful inferences with respect to asset lifecycle stages. Prepare the user requirements and use cases and help in solution design. Identify risks, mitigation activities and propose remedial measures Design the information architecture of Asset Management Systems in accordance with the Company's strategy and agreed solutions and practices. Participate in the Asset lifecycle management strategic discussions and associated architecture process. Map business processes within the information flow to the asset life cycle stages - outline the current business processes, information needs, and context. Support requirements gathering for new development and integration projects. Define requirements for testing and assess the impact of implementing the proposed solution. Coordinate business, technology, visual, enterprise strategies related to Enterprise Asset Management. Understand the different contexts and provide meaningful inferences with respect to asset lifecycle stages. Carry out studies that allow appropriate choices for transversal solutions. Develop guidance for securely integrating new systems into the company IS landscape. Assess the impact of new solutions on existing or planned architectures. Managing risks related to IT and information assets. Lead or participate in strategic studies. Participate in defining the approach for the evolution and integration of the different business and technological components of Enterprise Information Systems. Monitor trends and new technologies in order to identify opportunities for Company. Foster innovation to create business value ¿Promote value of the enterprise architecture. Assess and communicate to the stakeholders a meaningful and usable architecture for their area of responsibility. Lead Governance & processes for Maximo improvements related to asset management and work orders.  Manage standards (identification, promotion, implementation & monitoring). Identify, document and share the main components of enterprise IS architecture and the intercomponent relationship

     

    Responsibilities

    • Apply concepts of application architecture and service orientation to assist custom teams responsible for developing application requirements in specific functional areas for Maximo Improvements and asset lifecycle management
    • Guide construction of the business case for change
    • Create the asset lifecycle management framework blueprint that addresses the following:
      • FTA compliance requirements 
      • Adherence to TAM compliance
      • National Transit Database repository
      • Wayside automation
      • Procure to pay lifecycle
      • Inventory and warehousing
      • Useful life of assets
      • Return on investments
    •  Identify and collate existing standards, policies and standard operating procedures related to assets lifecycle management, including but not limited to:
      • Asset tagging
      • Asset naming convention
      • Asset codes
      • Asset mapping
      • Asset relationships
      • Asset data input controls
      • Asset data governance
      • Asset tracking and traceability
      • Asset useful life
      • Asset disposal
      • And many more
    •  Build multiple tiers of classification groups and categories to enable the relationships between assets that fulfill the minimum criteria with the stated class, group or category. Examples include
      • Line of Business
      • Core Services
      •  Revenue/Non-Revenue
      • Class of service
      • Category
      • Type
      • Location, Etc.
    •  Design and develop the relationship of parts and components (for the last identifiable asset) on the principles of:
      • Completely knocked down kits
      • Semi-knocked down kits/assemblies
      • This exercise aims to cover the last identified part or component in relation to an asset
    • Coordinate work to prevent overlap and ensure alignment with Company Enterprise Architecture Framework, IT strategy, SDLC, strategic drivers and standards as it related to Asset Lifecycle management
    • Produce flow charts, context diagrams, problem analyses, mind maps and other tools to capture and communicate design decisions and components
    • Prepare as-is and to-be application architecture artifacts including system connect diagrams, application reference models, software requirements documents, interface descriptions, data dictionaries and application staging plans
    • Apply gap analysis techniques to define the nature and extent of application scope changes and communicate business case to decision makers
    • Work with data and infrastructure architect and software program managers to ensure integrity of application systems and plans with overall Enterprise Architecture
    • Guide the work of business systems/business case analysts and documentation specialists
    • Understand and explain the relationship between process design and information capture and retrieval, especially with respect to performance measurement
    • Apply industry standard architectural frameworks (such as FEAF, TOGAF, and ITS) to the Company enterprise to guide and update the creation of the Asset management systems
    • Apply guiding principles of regulatory requirements related to FTA, transit Asset Management framework, capital need inventory, state of good repair and MAP-21 reporting
    • Work with project team to help develop business process flows, information flows, logical representations, etc. to maintain and support standardization of technology toolsets
    • Work with IT architects to ensure business goals are supported by IT plans
    • Apply industry standards and best practices to implement process improvements
    • Review, assess, and validate the existing policies. Grandfather the ones that meet the intended outcome and suggest changes for modifying the existing policies or creating new ones
    • Assist in developing computer based training program for end-users and stakeholders

    Qualifications

    Preferred skills and experience:

     

    • Strong information system architecture, design and implementation experience with Enterprise Asset Lifecycle Management, asset lifecycle stages, business processes, Large Scale transit Asset Management, configurable work-flow/business rule engine, inventory,
      warehousing, work order etc. in asset management systems such as Maximo
    • Experience using the Enterprise repository tools to document relationship of application architectures to and enterprise architecture
    • Formal training in organization development, complex systems analysis, group facilitation or information systems requirements analysis for assets
    • Experience in the transit industry, specific to organization and design of business processes for transit assets
    • 9 or more years experience, including architecture models and Governance framework model including standards, policies, standard operating procedures, and change management controls applications for Asset Management, particularly, Maximo
    • Hands-on experience in preparing use case specifications and technical, functional, non-functional, security, risk, data, audit, governance and compliance specification descriptions for asset lifecycle management by respective lifecycle stages
    • Exceptional verbal andwritten communication skills
    • Group facilitation experience
    • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio to perform basic financial analysis of business processes
